Hello, My name is Alifah Ab Aziz and I’m from Al-Ameen Serve Holdings Sdn. Bhd. We are a Malaysia-based publishing company focusing on publications for early childhood up to primary education. We are a member of the Malaysia Book Publishers Association (MABOPA). Previously we have acquired publishing rights from Kyowon for some of their early education titles. We came across your publication, the Young Learner English series few years ago and we received the samples for the textbooks and workbooks from the series. Recently, the Education Ministry of Malaysia opens up a tender for the publishing of English text book to be used by the Year 3 primary school students all over Malaysia starting next year. The number of printing will be around 400,000 copies. The idea is to acquire publishing rights from any available English books in the market that is in line with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and if the book is accepted by the ministry, adaptations of the contents and visuals will be made to cater to the local syllabus. We are interested to get the publishing rights for Malaysia territory which includes the adaptation, distribution rights for your YLE series particularly the READY TO RUN and READY TO JUMP SERIES. In order for us to participate in the tender, we will have to get the letter of agreement of rights acquisition from your company. Apart from that, we also have to submit 6 copies of the student book in which we will need your favour to courier the books to us. The letter and the books have to be submitted to the Ministry of Education by 6th March 2018. Hence, it is very important for us to get your agreement. Kindly let me know about your rights acquisition procedure. We are also interested to get one copy of all the titles in the READY TO RUN and READY TO JUMP series which includes the student book, work book and teacher’s guide book.
